Shepherd of the Valley was officially organized in 1909 as a Methodist Episcopal Church. They have been worshiping in their current Sanctuary since 1969. The Church is dedicated to serving its community and has shared this, “As a United Methodist Church, we believe that every person is of sacred worth. Therefore, we believe in Open Hearts-Open Minds-Open Doors.” Most recently, Shepherd of the Valley United Methodist Church received a water conservation project grant from the Indi Water Authority. They replaced lawn landscaping in front of the church with a desert-themed Serenity Garden for the enjoyment of all the people of Indio.
On behalf of Shepherd of the Valley, the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce invites you to attend a ribbon-cutting celebration. Help us welcome the opening of the new serenity garden as the Marine Cadet Honor group present the colors and for an opportunity to experience a Veteran's Day themed ceremony. The event celebration will be from 10 AM to 12 PM at their Indio location. The time for the ribbon-cutting ceremony is to be announced soon!
We look forward to seeing you there. For additional information contact the Chamber at 760.347.0676.
