About Us

NAMI Coachella Valley was founded by Maxine Stallcop in 1984 and is part of the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. We advocate for access to services, treatment, support and research and is steadfast in its commitment to raising awareness and building a community of hope for all those in need.

We are a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization providing education, support, advocacy and public awareness for families of loved ones living with mental illness as well as those living with mental illness.

We offer Family Support Groups and Connection Recovery Support Groups twice each month.
**In-person Support Groups will be held on the 2nd Monday of each month at Oasis Community Services - 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

We offer Family-to-Family classes for Family Members. Classes are 9 consecutive weeks, 2-1/2 hours each week. If you are interested and would like to be added to our waiting list, you can register on our website namicoachellavalley.org or call our information line at (442) 275-7385.
